    The Great Northern Iron trust is due to be liquidated in April of 2015, look up the terms of the trust and see what you think. I may be missing something but it looks like a terrible investment.

      If we were holding this for a number of years, that would probably be true. These high-yield dividend stocks though are more like warehousing money. GNI still trades within its range in 2011. I would expect it to do that into 2012. By then the money should be moving on. It may go into more interesting things this week if values improve significantly in better companies that meet our normal requirements. These trusts are more of a short-term value hedge, and would not be useful closer to the termination of their lifespans.
